Several hundred women prisoners, mostly Jewish, were held in this block as guinea-pigs for sterilization experiments,
conducted by Prof. Dr. Carl Clauberg, from April 1943 to May 1944.
Many of women died from these experiments. Some were killed so that Dr. Clauberg can perform autopsies.
