A four image mini-series taken from a slide presentation I am preparing for a Senior's group. This is one of about six Robins eating Mountain Ash berries from one of five trees located near the Bow River. All the Robins were eating berries from this one tree, none from any of the other four trees. These images were taken only a few weeks after I got my first DSLR, the Nikon D70 and the original, non VR 80-400 lens.
Top Image: After having eaten several berries already, the Robin seems to be concentrating on the top berry.
It seems that it changed its mind and took one of the lower berries.
Here it seems to be giving me a look-over.
It then seems to decide that this novice photographer is no big threat and it continues to consume the berries.
Note: It ate all the berries in this bunch, then went to feed on another bunch.
