After the last manned lightship was withdrawn, two positions were equipped with unmanned lightships. There are three ships which are rotated regularly. Each ship is 26 meters long, has a displacement of 172 metric tonnes. A fuel tank of 17 tonnes allows for 10.000 hours (= 417 days) of continuous operation. Its light can be see for 17 nautical miles
