This unusual bird first appeared on Aug. 30, 2018 on the bayside of the dirt/sand road running the length of Duxbury Beach; it was south of the 1st xover at the first pulloff. The 8/30 photo was taken at 2:19pm just before a 10.3 ft HiTide at 2:45pm; no additional photos that day.
Looked for it at length (to get better photos) on 9/1, 9/2 and having given up, found it serendipitously on 9/3 and it was very photogenic. These documentation photos, when compared with the well-documented Plum Is. bird (2013) indicate it is a different individual. It has no random black markings above the shoulders and most notably the bill has no black on it - only a two-toned red and orange coloration. It was with 5 Semipalmated Plovers on 8/30 but on 9/3 was by itself (Semipalmated Plovers in pix came and went with no interaction).
