The tenor saxophonist made her first Newport appearance as part of the all-woman super-group Artemis at the 2018 Newport Jazz Festival. Aldana was the first female instrumental winner of the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition in 2013. appearing in the all-woman super-group Artemis.
