Llech Idris a Cader Idris
Y chwedl sy’n gysylltiedig â’r maen, yw’r cysylltiad gydag Idris Gawr. Yn ôl y stori, ‘roedd Idris yn eistedd ar ei gadair, sef mynydd Cader Idris, pan deimlodd rhywbeth pigog yn ei esgid oedd yn ei boeni’n arw. Tynnodd yr esgid a darganfod greyenyn ynddi, yn ei dymer taflodd y greyenyn mor bell a medrai - sef i Gwm Dolgain ac yno saif fel Llech Idris!
Llech Idris and Cader Idris
The ledgend connected to the stone is associated with the giant Idris. According to the story, Idris was sitting on his chair, namely the mountain Cader Idris, when he felt something pricking him in his shoe and it was very painful. He took his shoe off and found a chipping in it. In his temper he threw the chipping as far as he could – down to Cwm Dolgain and there it stands as Llech Idris!

Interesting to hear of this legend. Great view of the mountain in pleasant light. V.
