Spouting Horn is located on the southern coast of Kauai in an area known for its crashing waves. These waves erode lava rocks on the coastline which can create narrow openings, as is the case with Spouting Horn. The water hits the shoreline at a lower point and rushes through the rock to create the spout in that area that looks like a boiling cauldron in the middle. I wanted to capture the rainbow that often forms after it spouts and that is what is shown here.
