When it comes to pushing the limits of the posted challenge rules I'd be right on the top of the list and often I shatter them. I mean after all what are we going to do, block a photographer from entering. Generally I vote first on quality of entry (not necessarily optical quality) then consider the framework of the challenge second if at all. A little noise reduction might not hurt but like the others said this is a fantastic capture and should be in the big E. Paul

I guess I interpret Mr T's spirit of the challenge broader than you do. And I am usually the one who has trouble breaking out of the literal interpretation box. Mr T said: What is hot? Certainly the desert or cactus creatively shot would qualify...but also would be water drops condensing on a glass of icy water or tea, it is the differential between hot and cold that makes the condensation... But Hot is bigger than Temperature...hot sometimes is women or cars or when you are personally dressed particularly well...Personally, I think I look hot in a dark pin-striped suit. Hot can be a design, industrial or whatever seems exciting and Hot to you and would fairly represent Hot to a viewer. Jim

I don't think you need a "hot" temperature story. This frog is simply "hot", like a hot car or a hot dress. Jim

Thanks, Jim. While I'm pleased with this shot, my creative juices didn't come up with a story supporting the frog's hotness. Maybe I just need to explain that it's perched on a hose sprayer and appearing to appeal for relief from the heat. How's that? Dave
