Imagine my fear when I found a monster lurking in my safflower plant!
Gardening is not for sissies!

Actually, I had planned on removing the plant this morning as it was planted by the birdies from the birdseed mix.
I had never seen a safflower before this year, and they were quite beautiful when in bloom,
but in no way do I want those prickly things taking over my little garden!
They will be history by the end of the day and hopefully the safflower monster will go away too!

And here is the rest of the story!
As I was photographing "the monster", he accidentally fell into the flowerbed,
and when I reached down to retrieve him, guess who was there! Ronnie Rabbit.
He hopped a couple hops out of my way, but then just sat there watching me.
What a fun way to start my day
