There are two rail lines through the town. The one that runs east of the town, and through the railroad station, is the one that is most commonly used. The line shown in the picture runs to the south of the town and meets up with the other line on the bridge over the Potomac River before crossing into Maryland. It is seldom that one actually sees a train on this line.
