Elissa & Oosterschelde

Galveston Island, Texas

View from a restaurant at Pier 23.
Elissa is a three-masted, iron-hulled sailing ship built in 1877 in Aberdeen, Scotland by Alexander Hall & Company.

The three-masted topsail schooner OOSTERSCHELDE was built in 1918 as a sail-powered freighter.
The vessel plied the European waters and was regularly seen off the coast of Morocco and on the Mediterranean Sea.
