Ginny likes to work in her garden. Having grown up on a farm it seems like the natural thing to do. She is a member of Gardeners by the Bay, the local garden club. She really likes going to the monthly meetings. She says it is because of the great speakers they have, but I think it really because of the great food they have. Just sayin'.

If one were to come up with an adjective to describe her garden, it would be difficult. Some people have really fine, artistic, well groomed gardens. Some people have well maintained gardens with row upon row of neatly laid out vegetables. Maybe some fruit trees as well. I would say that Ginny's garden might be termed "all are welcome." She gets plants she likes and puts them out there. I think her design is driven by a random number generator. There are flowers of all sorts. She has a large and growing blackberry patch. There are things in pots and there are things planted near the fence. There are even some things sitting in a corner of the fence which haven't been planted yet. The one thing that is really cool is that she gets an ongoing procession of pretty flowers. Her Easter lilies were very nice this year. She had quite a few amaryllis flowers. She also had a hidden ginger plant that seemed to come from nowhere by the side of the house.

Today she came in after checking things out with a beautiful Guardian Angel hibiscus. It is a huge bloom which only lasts about a day. It has no fragrance, but it sure looks cool. Good job, Ginny.
