It took over 5 months, but I finally took the Stroller http://www.pbase.com/britestar/image/166711353
out for the first time today.
To my surprise, three dogs along our route charged us!!! However, Bella remained safe and unfazed. Things possibly wouldn't have been as uneventful had Bella been walking. I was happy to have her safe inside the stroller.
On my normal walk for exercise (without a dog), I generally don't have a big problem with unfamiliar dogs bothering me. Occasionally, a strange dog will run over to check me out, but it's not a big deal. I ignore it. The dog goes away. However, some other walkers in our area carry a stick to protect themselves from potentially aggressive dogs along the way. There can be dog encounters, & I guess those folks have had some bad ones. Personally, I only worry about my very tiny girls (just 2 1/2 pounds); but not myself.
I'm glad we opted to get the more expensive, jogging stroller for our little girls. It fits my needs perfectly. It gave Bella a smooth ride; even out on the open road. There are no sidewalks where we live. Not even on the fairly busy through streets. So I have to walk in the street & keep an eye on traffic. So do other walkers & joggers. That's just life in our neck of the woods.
