I fact, I used VELVIA differently, and I rated it at ISO 40, thus giving it a slight overexposure, as it was advised at the time!
I always used a Polarizer filter as a rule, in exteriors...
Velvia did give you bluer than blue blues which made it a great film for landscapes and you lens was known for it's colour saturation. Combine that with 1/3 stop under exposure and no other film could compare. I like this viewpoint. V!
