Common Coot

Many of you are familiar with this bird, though he usually spends more time diving under the water in order to miss the camera.
BUT....

have you ever noticed those feet???

Nice shot of the Coot, or as some say a "mud hen". Those Lobate feet are neat, also found on Grebes. V

I love Coots. Always cute to watch them bobbing on the water. Those feet are made for paddling, that's for sure. V

I love their feet which make walking on lily pads quite easy :)
