My Father had just died, and left me an amout of money! I decided to do 1 of my dreams, and go to Bali!
Because it was August, the flights were terribly full, but we managed to get a Business tariff not much more then Economy... And Thai Buss was very nice, not yet with the bed seats, but wonderful food and service...
BUT: On our flight, seating right in front was Portugal's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Durao Barroso, latter 1 Minister, and later even worst, going on a mission to East Timor, and following behind a sequit of Journalists from the National TV, particularly, a very famous (although young) female one.
As soon as we arrived and seated down, she pinched my wife's very nice blanket, and hide it in her bag! Mu Wife (then) was like me, not very social, so she turned back, stared art her, and just said; "Where is MY blanket?". Of course, she immediately returned it with a very yellow smile, asking: "Oh, it was yours?" What a good example of Portugal's journalism lack of everything... To say the least...
It was a nice and rather fast flight, but we got a giant thunderstorm near the Himalayas, I filmed on video! Absolutely amazing. Fortunately, the Captain was going around...
