One of the funniest episodes I had onboard an airplane...
After a long 13 hours+ flight from Thailand, with a stop in Rome, and a sleepless 11h wait in the old, horrible Barajas Airport because of no connection, I finnaly boarded the TAP flight back home, for a short 45'hop.
Before take off, as usual, a surelly inexperienced Flight Attendant make the usual, last anouncement:
"Ladies and Gentlemen welcome onboard TAP flight...bla, bla, bla (...) we hope you have a wonderfull FRIGHT"
By coincidence, we just took off at this time, and had 3 violent air pockets!
Some passengers near me asked: "Ah! Was this the fright she announced?"
Even funnier, as if the Captain had heard the whole thing (he couldn't have), he announced immediately: "Ladies and Gentlemen, sorry for this turbulence, the weather will be better from now on, and the flight will be a smooth one".
I couldn't stop laughing for minutes... LOL
