Prize Pumpkin

On this morning's walk with a friend of mine we came across this man with a 800lb. (360kg+) pumpkin in the back of his truck.
He told us that it took Third Prize in the Orange County Fair. The First and Second Place pumpkins were over 1,000lbs. each.

I've heard that there's a "tribe" of people growing these mammoth pumpkins !! Sure good for a LOT of pies :)
