January 16th

At Home, Sugar Land Texas

Absolutely FROZEN here.
We had rain, then sleet as the temperature dropped 40 degrees.
We covered our flowers, but this type of Artic cold is going to burn them even under blankets.
There is ice covering the roads and the city is under emergency status, so we don't have to go to work.

Your photo tells the story alright. Places that rarely freeze are catching hell this year. Very nicely seen and photographed, Lynn. Vote.

There is a tear in the suns eye. :(

The frozen sun fits the weather you are having. V

Indeed - my other photo friend from Houston on another site is posting photos of icicles - something that is pretty unusual in my part of England! The world is weird!

Unbelievable weather you are having! A drop of 40 degreees is hard to even comprehend. I feel very badly for the gardens, the plants, the wildlife, contending with such bizarre weather patterns. A lovely shot here, though. V

My goodness! That sort of weather must seem really strange. We had some snow yesterday, didn't lie where we live but a colleague who lives in the hills was unable to get to work.

Great composition and light, but sounds dreadful in your part of the world. Actually, I think that's pretty common most everywhere these days. V.
