Crashed 28.09.98 in Praia Airport, almost killing the Prime Minister...
Flight from Praia to Fogo Mosteiros field. The Fogo Island main airport, at Sao Felipe was still under reconstruction. Lasted over 10 years!
It was an horrible flight, on my list of the ones to forget! Big air pockets, but still I could film the landing. It was funny, the field was only nothing but a more clean dirt road, where the goats were walking peacefully. They had to send them away, before landing.
But worst, we were supposed to return after 3 days, but there was a tremendous spell of dry fog, visibility under 10 meters, so we had to wait and wait, closed in the hotel, as we really could not go anywhere!
Finally, the Prime Minister sent an empty plane, with TACV's best Pilot, just to pick us up! No other passengers, too risky!
Fortunately, it was a fine flight!
