As my friends are aware, Ginny does a remarkable job of sending out Christmas cards. This year's edition included four snap shots. That is a record. I think she sends about 140 of them. Even though we include a duplicated letter in each, she still likes to write a few personal things to everybody on the list. It is a massive project.
One of the sad things about the project is that some of the intended recipients passed away since the previous edition, unbeknownst to us. We often get nice cards in return from a family member, and it brings a real sense of closure for us. This year was no exception. One of our oldest flying buddies, Sam Francis, passed away this year. We got a very nice note from his daughter Tina. Just for the heck of it I went into the photo database to see what I could find. I was greatly surprised and gratified to find several photos of Sam. Today's photo is one of those, with his daughter Tina at Plymouth airport in 1976. That is Sam's J-3. In looking at the photos, Ginny and I had a very nice trip down memory lane.
