During a recent visit to Brazos Bend State Park a young child came running up to me so point out this Wilson’s Snipe near the trail. He wanted to know what kind of bird it was and was very excited to have spotted it. It was quite a pleasure to tell him and his family what it was and a little about it; how great it is to see young people excited about nature.
