Hermit Thrush

Warrenton, Virginia

Our late-Fall, early-Winter visitor. Food source is key; this one visits our American Holly many times daily.
I still believe this same Hermit finds our holly tree every Fall, and stays till the food supply ends.

I have had only one in the yard in 13 years. The Swainson's is seen a few times a year but it and the Varied are still unusual.
