Rochester, NY

This is Scott. He was working for Labor Ready making about $45 a day, but can't find work any longer. He said with the brewery and new buildings, there should be more jobs. He said his rent is $100 a week. He said he gets food stamps and collects cans to make ends meet. He showed me the food in his bag that he was just able to get.

If he buys a lawnmower, he can make at least $200 a day mowing lawns. I know.....I do it.

Times are really tough for some, he still has a proud and optimistic look on his face. V

Thanks for the background on Scott. Makes me even more disgusted about the US tax cut for the rich.

Great that you added his story to this image of him. People have such horrible prejudices against those less fortunate than themselves. He looks very likable in this image. "V"

A fine documentary portrait. He portrays a sense of peace and confidence despite his situation and you captured that so well.

Scott looks like he has spirit, or maybe defiance against the odds. Excellent capture and narrative. V.

i don't understand how people in this country can be in this situation
when our government gives away billions to people that want to kill us.
A very pleasing image of Scott. I wish him well...

Scot looks so sympathetic a character...shifts in the labour market have not been kind to so many people...
