The Chapel. The village parish church was absorbed into the castle when the outer bailey was constructed in the 15th c. It then became the castle chapel and a Hungerford family mausoleum. The interior has been richly ornamented by different generations of the family, The stained glass window with the Hungerford coat of arms above and a 15th century wall painting of St George and the dragon!
