Fossil (Tabulate Coral)

Burnt Lands Provincial Park

The edge of the Burnt Lands park, adjacent to a huge quarry, is an excellent site for viewing fossils, most embedded in huge slabs of rock that have been exposed by the quarrying. I know nothing about fossils, but find them intriguing, particularly when I think of how long they have been on site... millions of years.

if you discount the possibility of a ginger biscuit, this could well be a coral...the shot works well on several levels..
