Some explanations for the non francophones :
First the sign on the right top of the shop which sells material for electronic cigarettes is a pun : "cigarette" does not need a translation ; "arrête" means «stopping». Incentive to the smokers to stop cigarette and to adopt e-cigarette.
But, more important, the portrait underneath represents Serge Gainsbourg (1928-1991), a brilliant and famous songwriter with a very controversial private life, heavy Whisky’s drinker and hard smoker of Gitanes !
Singer-songwriter, pianist, painter, scriptwriter, director, writer, actor and film-maker, great provocator too, Serge Gainsbourg met through his songs a huge success in France. Husband of singer and British actress Jane Birkin, he had love affairs with the most beautiful French actresses (Brigitte Bardot for instance).
