Memory

My father's younger brother drowned in 1935 at aged nine. This was his and how he left his pen & nib, it was of course shiny and new then.

That takes me back a long way too...how difficult they were to write with
and the ink wells, one had to watch the pigtails didn't get dipped in
the ink by the kid sitting behind! Great shot, sad story though Laine! v

Yeah, had to lick on them so the ink would stick better to the pen. Teacher filled the ink pots once a week or so. Nice memory. V
