Totality HDR

This is a stack of 3 photos taken at different brightness's. I used the HDR process in Adobe Lightroom 5 to make this. Not perfect, but it shows the corona more as we saw it just looking.

In addition to Regulus there are two dimmer stars in the field of view. 31 Leo near the bottom of the photo, a 4th magnitude star and vLeo above the sun at about 1 o-clock, this one is a 5th magnitude star. It would be hard to see at night unless the sky was dark with little light pollution, so kind of cool! To see the other two stars, you will likely need to look at the orginal size photo.

Canon EOS 6D
1/15s f/13.0 at 300.0mm iso200 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto
