This 1932 Studebaker sits on the original, now abandoned roadbed of Route 66,
a reminder of the millions of vehicles that traveled this section of road
between 1926 and 1958. I was one of them, who at a very young age in 1955
moved from Illinois to California with my family to start a new life.
