This is an in-joke for old Sydneysiders. For those not in the know, "shooting through
like a Bondi tram" means leaving in disorderly haste. The last Bondi tram ran in 1960.
The sculptor's statement: "Shooting Through"represents
Bondi's past and maybe its future. The trams are back.
