the western end of the pond has also been cleaned out, excess silt removed as well as some areas overstocked with rampant reeds...not sure how many creatures have returned to the rehabilitated waters though..no herons suggests a food supply problem, and goodness knows what happened with the turtles and the frogs..at least some autumn colours are still on show from the immediate surrounds

So very beautiful with those warm autumn colours. Pond rehab is always a dicey thing, unless steps were taken to ensure safety of the frogs and turtles and all the aquatic invertebrates. The downside of the work, but hopefully come spring you'll see some life. V
