Yes, printers can use cleaning on a regular basis. Like you - I am surprised that they even showed it to you.

I test printed it as a 16x 20 at Costco yesterday and something was wrong with their printer because it looks horrible. The scout was brown not black and has very prominent white line all through the entire image at the rate of 8 per inch. I needed a few other things when I was there and when I was going thru the checkout the checkout guy noticed the print and told me the machine needs to be cleaned out and reprinted because it’s not right. I sad yea, that’s not the way my jpeg looked at all. It surprises me they set it out looking like that. Paul

Canvas would be the perfect choice.

I spent way more time on this image that I care to admit, even today I was tweaking again when I realized the horses front legs were burned together so I corrected it.
My editing steps were -1.5 ev from raw (I always had trouble getting exposures right with the 50D), crop, output to jpeg. Load in to Photoshop Express and run Topaz simplify on the image. Burn down the horse and sioux indian to a silhouette then run Topaz Impressions (chiaroscuro), tweak to my likings especially changing the vignette intensity and center. As a final step back in PSE I added the sun using the elliptical marquee tool, filled it with yellow white color and put a heavy gaussian blur on it. I hope to send this to Costco today for a test print and If I like it I'm going to order it on canvas. Paul

I'd love to learn how you created this very cool image (which should have an audience beyond this challenge).

I used to travel to Kansas City on business. Nice town. Good eats.

A piece of art worth framing and hanging.
