Congaree National Park, South Carolina, USA

Golden Silk Orbweaver (Nephila clavipes) Just the body alone is about 2 inches long. Also the smaller spider near the top. That is the male spider.

These spiders just started appearing in Congaree in 2008. Likely driven here due to climate change.
