A little blurry due to the double pane window glass, but still nice view of the city.
Chicago’s first permanent resident was a trader named Jean Baptiste Point du Sable, a free black man apparently from Haiti, who came here in the late 1770s.
Since the 1850s has been a dominant Midwest metropolis.
And as legendary guitarist Robert Johnson put it, Chicago has been a “sweet home” for the blues.
