Chilean Palm (Jubaea chilensis) ENDEMIC Chile - La Campana National Park

The Chilean Palm (Jubaea chilensis) is Endemic to Chile. The largest population; about 60,000 occurs in La Campana NP.
This palm is famous for its longevity; several specimens of 500-700 years of age grow in the park and it is likely that the oldest palms are near 1000 years old.
For several reasons nowadays it ́s an endangered species and the only place where it's possible to see a forest of this palm is in La Campana NP.
