We received a blessing from the monks at the pagoda, then we came to this dining hall
where we were given a bowl of rice to offer to the monks. When the monks file into the hall with their pots, they come down the line and we put a scoop of rice into each of their bowls as they passed by us.
It was quite interesting to see that some of the monks kept their pots closed and only opened
them long enough for us to put the scoop of rice in and then they closed it up in between
people. Others just left their pots open the whole time.
