First, I must express amazement that there are still any statues to English / British monarchs (albeit ones of questionable historical existence) in the south.
Second, the saying at the bottom sits oddly with Arthur's reputed kicking of Saxon backside, which I doubt would have been done peaceably.
It's a nice sculpture, though...
