St Bernard

He and his younger female companion really are Saints. They are the mascots of the lovely old St Bernard's Hotel on Mount Tamborine where we like to lunch at from time to time. These gentle giants remain sleeping on their beds and rarely raise an eye as they are fondly admired by the many patrons who enter the restaurant and pass by their beds. The hotel owners assure us they are very energetic when it comes to playtime but it's hard to imagine when you see them like this. The photo fails to indicate how HUGE they are.

I remember a St. Bernard that was as tall as my Dad when it stood up on its hind legs.
A really lovely shot Laine. v

Love the idea that the hotel has dogs on hand. What a wonderful idea. I'd patronize the place just to see the dogs. Love this shot. V
