Photo from a few days ago.
National Guard were rescuing folks from our neighborhood after Hurricane Harvey.
The warer has receded for all of Sugar Land and people are busy with recovery.
Much of Houston didn't get catastrophic flooding, despite the pictures you see on the news.
Being a city of 6 million, several hundred thousand homes are destroyed and maybe several hundred thousand had some damages.
Our streets are designed to take deep water because of the flat terrain. Most of us were inconvenienced, being trapped
indoors for several days, but were safe and dry inside.
Meanwhile, those who were flooding were facing a nightmare that just would not stop.
