I really do like my new 2 TB SSD. When it is talking to other USB 3 devices it is very fast. When it talking to other devices not USB 3, the total transfer rate can get pretty slow. That is to be expected. I had to run a backup to my two backup drives because when I transferred the photo data to the SSD, there were minor changes to dates which meant that my backup software (Vice Versa Pro, very good) had to back up all the files. One of the drives is another USB 3 and the transfer rate was pretty fast. Took about six hours or so. The other drive is attached to the router and it is slow. The entire transfer took about 8 days. The photo for today shows the rate of transfer between devices is about 1.5 MB/sec. It is not something that you watch when it is going on.
