Billy Metson
(1864 – 1941)

was a prominent California, Nevada, and Alaska Gold Rush Attorney. He was involved in the development
of the Seward Penesula in Alaska and was the president of the Nome-Arctic Railway Company. He was
Yosemite Park Commissioner under California Governors Budd, Gage, and Pardee and was later President
of the San Francisco Park Commission.
