Sagittarius Region of the Milky Way and the Rho Ophiuchus Cloud Complex

Skywatcher Star Adventurer mini EQ. Mount with Nikon D810; Nikon 50mm f/1.8 Lens @ f/2.8; ISO 800; 6 x 3 minute subs.

Shot in RAW; converted to TIFFs; Stacked in DSS; and processed using Pixinsight; and Photoshop CC.

The four magenta regions of emission nebulae in the Sagittarius region are (Top to Bottom): Messier 16 (M16) Eagle Nebula; Messier 17 (M17) Omega Nebula; Messier 20 (M20) Trifid Nebula; and Messier 8 (M8) Lagoon Nebula.

The bright yellow star in the lower right side of the image is Antares; and the open cluster Messier 4 (M4) is to the right and below.The Blue Horsehead Nebula (upside down) hovers over the the Rho Ophiuchus complex. Streams of Dark Nebulae stream from Rho Ophiuchus into the Milky Way.
