The four magenta regions of emission nebulae in the Sagittarius region are (Top to Bottom): Messier 16 (M16) Eagle Nebula; Messier 17 (M17) Omega Nebula; Messier 20 (M20) Trifid Nebula; and Messier 8 (M8) Lagoon Nebula.
The bright yellow star in the lower right side of the image is Antares; and the open cluster Messier 4 (M4) is to the right and below.The Blue Horsehead Nebula (upside down) hovers over the the Rho Ophiuchus complex. Streams of Dark Nebulae stream from Rho Ophiuchus into the Milky Way.
