J-3

The venerable Piper Cub. Thousands of returning servicemen from WWII learned to fly thanks to the GI Bill, in the Cub and others
similar such as the Taylorcraft and Aeronca Champ. I used to lay in the grass in my backyard in the late 1940's and 50's watching
these yellow Cubs being put through their training maneuvers by the student pilots. That sparked my lifelong interest in aviation.

What a nice black and white photo. I always wanted to learn to fly a plane. Almost took lessons, but friends and family discouraged me ( I was young ) and looking back, I wonder how my life would have changed. It's a good thing when a photo evokes feeling or memories, so you've done your work well. V

I like your POV and composition that emphasizes the wing and its shadow. The monochrome presentation works well.
