The agave looks like this 12 months of the year and is very welcome
during the winter months, especially when the rose garden is just a heap
of bare sticks! I am waiting for it to get old enough to have a
flower stalk. This one is the Agave attenuata and was given to me
by a friend who has been growing them for years on a farm. As we
rarely have temperatures that drop below 0dC, it looks good all the time.
