Summer Monsoon Sunset

Tucson, AZ

Our summer monsoon got off to a late start this year, with today being the first day of a typical monsoon storm.
This was the wonderful sunset that was provided after a nice downpour that dropped the temps to around 80 F.

This is a merge of three exposures for a light HDR treatment --- not a real exaggeration of the stunning colors.

there is a hint of mammatus clouds here, energized by the splayed rays just above the horizon...a vibrant scene with the suggestion of more lively skies ahead...
