A bit of inspiration from visiting Japanese ice scientists (and married to a planetary scientist specialising in icy moons) inspired this composite shot, an improvement on an effort from last year. It's a regular stacked image of Saturn, added to a separate stack of 700 frames at longer exposure to bring out Saturn's moons.
There's 6 satellites in the first frame - clockwise from top left: Tethys, interesting Enceladus, Rhea, Dione, bright Titan, and faintly close to the rings at 7 o'clock, Mimas! Lots of variety of ices in this image
