As I stood there on the shore of Lake Powell, waves produced by motorboats came at me from two different directions. The pattern of wave interference was mesmerizing---it was like a ballet of physics.
This took place at the beach at Wahweap, Utah, and thus the placement of this photo in an Arizona gallery is a blatant lie. I have no shame, even though thousands of innocent surfers might be grievously misled to the point of failing a geography exam.
Placing this photo in a Utah gallery would be the accurate and proper thing to do. However, I have put it in an Arizona gallery to suit my own perverted sense of continuity---all of the day's activities were centered around Page, Arizona, so I feel justified in promoting this geographic con job. Besides, my vantage point is just under 1500 feet (450 meters) away from the state of Arizona. If you don't like it, report me to the Geography Police.
