Our Core Creek Bald Eagle presents his 4th of July command performance.
This is the male of the pair, look closely and you can see the band on his right leg.
He is a new male this year. The old male died in February 2017, just before nesting time. He died of lead poisoning.
The female quickly found this new mate and they have successfully hatched two eaglets which have left the nest and are currently out of sight.
For 10 years I have attempted to photograph the Core Creek Bald Eagles with limited success.
Beyond any doubt this is the best picture I have ever captured.
