Farley Mowat

"RV Farley Mowat was a long-range, ice class ship. Originally built as a Norwegian fisheries research and enforcement vessel, she was purchased by the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society in Edinburgh, Scotland, in August 1996.
She is named after Canadian writer Farley Mowat. Her previous name with the group was Ocean Warrior."

Tough and gnarly looking ship, just like Farley was.

Those Bollards look foreign yet they hoist an American flag. Where did you take this?

Sea Shepherd Society, AKA: Green Peace, hunting Japanese whale hunting in Antarctica and disrupting their efforts trying to save whales, you can see their 'pirate' flag on the bow. Farley Mowat was an environmentalist, activist and well known writer. They are all regarded very highly here in Canada.
